I'm grateful for a great group of women friends who promote the theme of being competent and capable in life.
My friends make me feel less alone in this world. Not having close family to depend on leaves one feeling like an invisible island sometimes, and sad, so I count my girlfriends as my family. I may spend the latter part of my life as a solitary writer, philospher, teacher, intellectual, and spiritual seeker; so I am learning now how to live in solitude. The hardest part is accepting that my path may be one that I walk alone. It's not a prediction, tedoltion, or failure. It's just a possibility. My friends make the transition easier. Thank GODDESS for women friends!
