Day 143 - Gratitude for EVERYTHING!

1/14/2017

Our fabulous school director cancelled our meetings yesterday because of so many sick people, so I got an extra day off*! Yay! I wrote for two hours longer than I would have, ran, read a book for our professional development class, ran errands, then ended the day with 푸른 바다의 전설 Legend of the Blue Sea, laughing at Jun Ji Hyun's comic expressions, and 이민호 ---사랑!!!
So, I am grateful to and for our wonderful school director who prizes our health above meetings and protocol; everybody was very happy for the day off! I am grateful to be part of a team of people who don't make you feel bad through manipulation, passive-agggressvie speech, or negation, for being sick--which you sort of can't control anyway! Yay!
I am grateful....click Read More
*I did do some work though!

...that since our meeting was cancelled, I got to spend another two hours writing, especially since I was writing in my web editor (frequent cockups* with save function in my web editor on ipad!), and hit delete instead of save, after writing for a solid hour...really well-executed writing too! My mind was a smooth flowing thesaurus of descriptive and bright language! It took me two hours to rewrite because I couldn't remember the order and the words, etc. I was freaking out! But I got most of it replaced, using slightly different verbiage, and stilll feel it's a solid piece. Again, I am grateful our meeting was cancelled, because it gave me the extra time I needed to rewrite and then run!
Speaking of running: I ran 2 arduous miles yesterday, after having the flu for a week...pant!pant!pant!wheez!wheez!wheez! I'll run 2 more tomorrow, for a total of 4 this week, which was my original goal anyway!!! And, I lost another pound! 3 lbs. down in 2 weeks! 17ish to go! Although I still have some sinus congestion, I feel *great* because I'm back to my normal lifestyle of running. I have concluded: consistent running is truly an accurate indicator of how well my life is going. If I am not running regularly (or cycling, or Bikraming, etc., something 3-5x per week), it is a warning that something is WRONG in my life, whether I am physically injured, or depressed, or being held hostage LOL. Anyway, I am PSYCHED to be running again and feel great because of it! I will be back at my normal weight sometime late spring, early summer! I am grateful for the returned motivation, dedication, will (sankalpa), determination, and most of all, physical/emotional/psychic energy to be able to run again! Wheee!
I am on track for 20+ miles for Jan, and increasing by 10 or so each month (injury prevention) with rest days and recovery weeks built in to my year-long plan!
*"cockup" is not profane, it simply means blunder or mess.
