Monday, January 30, 2017 - A day of Beauty and Satori

It feels good to have roots (security), and to finally realize that these roots (security, groundedness) are inside me, availalbe and accompanying me at all times!
Today my alarm rang clearly, since I set it up correctly, and I enjoyed a cup of Organic India Masala Chai, before running to Chidambaram for 8am puja. I arrived 10 minutes early so had time to catch my breath and relax! Saraswati offered a lovely ritual as the pujari, and since the other two in attendance were women, the energy was high and strong, and the singing melodic and connecting.
Serendipity? Meant to be? Saraswati has boldly made herself known to me the past two days, without any mistake in intent. Knowledge. Removal of Sorrow. Another Satori for me: time to turn inward for further discovery and learn why. The meaning of my life--the purpose--was reinforced yesterday, and now I see another path evidencing itself to me. A new door opens and I eagerly walk through, as usual, feeling the fear and doing it anyway!
The sun was out, and despite the harshness of a 28 degree Morning, it was a beautiful run there and back! I enjoyed a big bowl of steel cut oats with raisins and millet; I forgot to add my customary peanut butter and coconut, but still yummy.

I spent time this afternoon reading "Optimal Parenting", a book we utilize at school for our professional development. After chiding people to be on time for an event I created, I then mucked around myself and was late to Siva Puja at Kalaish. I took the longer route via road, in hopes that someone would drive by and offer a ride, but nonesuch luck. But it was a lovely puja led by Sundaram, who gave me a ride back and offered a ride on Wednesday. I can't believe how darn tired I am; my entire lower body aches from my trail runs, and I just feel so fatigued! I spent the afternoon studying and reading, even completed 45 minutes of yoga nidra, and STILL (at 6:20pm) I just want to eat dinner and go to bed! I've been expending a lot of energy here and it feels great, but I think I'm going to exhaust myself on vacation! Later in the afternoon I visited the library to research the teachings of Ramana Maharishi and learn more about Saraswati, who seems to be calling me.
It's time for dinner, thank goodness because I'm starving! Dinner, tea, read, sleep! Get up and do over! Another morning trail run and back. Tomorrow might be more of a restful day since there is only one puja so I don't need to walk all over campus to get places except in the morning!
