I rode up, so I had to ride back down! Interesting notes on my shopping expedition to Lotte Mart, a competitor of Emart, where they have everything! I should stop saying everything is "expensive" and just repeat "Prosperity flows to me!" :-)) Interesting notes on shopping carts, rice cookers, and rice. I bought a velvet hat, legwarmers, a 10 kilo bag of rice, shelves for my bathroom, rice dessert, Jeju mandarins, hiking pants that don't fit right, and considered buying a rice cooker. 100 won is about a dime. As you enter large departments stores, there are "greeters" who bow to you, and offer assistance in directing you to what you need. 100won frees a cart from its bondage, and you're off! Here, you can buy clothes, furniture, food, art, shoes, wallpaper, fish and fish tanks, gerbils, chinchillas (no, I am not kidding), and every implement needed by good cooks, poor cooks, and really, really good cooks (like moi')! On your way in or out, there are fried fish cakes and pungaebang (spelling??)-- my favorite red bean stuffed bread -- and tasty, HOT cinnamon, sugar, nut stuffed baked pastry (name unknown). YUM! If you are stuck in grocery with a sudden irrepressible surge of hunger, there's the food bar with fish cakes, huge bowls of udon, mandu, and mokchi rice drink! Everything you could want is at Lotte Mart, but none of the poorly made, cheap crap you find at Walmart. It's all good quality to highest quality merchandise! I've gotta go ride that escalator again...! ;-)) | |

Your 2 sisters really were excited to go to Lotte World in Seoul. They had rides and entertainment for the kids.
