Tuesday, January 31, 2017 - Ice Ribbons and Stories

After a satiating breakfast in the sunshine, I fill my mid-morning and afternoon with lesson planning, reading for school, and processing all the information I have received the past three uplifting days! I feel fantastic after 9 hours of rest, asana, trail running, puja, breakfast, and connection.

​소란나 found me at brekkie and we chatted about puja, Gurudev, and being in the light and love of Yogaville. She related a wondrous story from 1991, on the annual Discover India pilgrimage/retreat: they were on a bus and running late with the possibity of missing the plane;someone kept saying "We are going to miss the plane!" She wanted to counter that negative statement with one of faith and positivity, and began chanting Satchidananda Guru mantram; everyone followed and she sang louder and louder. They arrived in time to catch the plane, and later, amidst the hubbub, Gurudev leans over and asks her, in jest, " Do you think I'm deaf?!" He wasn't even on the bus to hear the chants!
I love stories like this one of magic, power, and miracle. I believe!
