Today I am grateful for new friends and new experiences, or rather, friends met and familiar experiences that feel new! I am grateful to feel this opening and this love, which makes me more determined than ever to be my authentic self; knowing I am appreciated for the lIght of who I am. Most importantly, I appreciate this aspect and value it in myself. I am grateful for the renewed sense of freedom to be my Self.
I am grateful for amazing travel experiences and to the people who contributed to my trip: friends that helped with transportation--if I didn't have the truck, I wouldn't have been able to drive to VA!--friends I made in my journey, people that have left life but left items behind about which peaked my curiousity. Am I grateful for the hardships of the past few years? I am trying to be. I acknowledge that those challenges brought me to where I am today: teaching in a wonderful school community that mirrors my ethos, visiting Yogaville again with a new sense of wonder and appreciation, finishing my education exams, running again (well, at least once!). I am studying Taoism and learning how ups and downs balance life--learning to accept that. I even received the same message at Yogaville: I don't have to suffer when I know there will be ups and downs and they serve to help me grow. In fact, I should be grateful for the challenges. I am grateful to have my heart and mind set on service: how can I be of more service, how can I serve, my friends, my family, my school community? How can I honor the needs of my heart and remain open so that I can continue a path of love and devotion and open-heartedness while remaining in the world? I am grateful for the love and devotion I feel; I want that to remain. I am grateful to Be Love. I am grateful to continue to learn more about my field and how to better facilitate student learning. I love. Learning and receiving new perspectives that help me improve my skills. Recently, I am learning how to facilitate my students' knowledge and let it emerge, rather than using the old paradigm of "teaching at", as I like to call it. The knowledge and skills are there, I simply need to let them come forth. And so another lesson on life in general about being like water, and letting it flow. I love life and I am so grateful for opportunities to grow in love and shine my Light!
